Shiraz Lane wouldn't sound the same without Joel Alex providing that incredible groovy bass. Each member of the band is 1/5th of the glue that holds everything in place. Joel was the final member to join this line-up. As he had said before that four hippies came knocking on his door looking for a bass player. He said "no". Then he heard the new material that they wrote and when they asked him again, he didn't hesitate to join. They've been a family ever since.
